TJ Awards 2015
Hull Institute for Learning and Simulation (HILS) won the Gold Award at the Training Journal Awards for Best Public Sector Programme.
This category was open to all publically funded organisations including Government departments, NHS organisations and local authorities. HILS were selected on the basis of being a training and learning initiative that had made a substantial contribution towards the success of the organisation. HILS faced tough competition from University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust who won silver and The Civil Service who won bronze award.
The award was won following completion of an application process in July and an interview in September 2015 with the judging panel. The team attended the awards ceremony at the Brewery in London on 25th November 2015 where Denise Van Outen hosted the event.
Health Education England (HEE) support HILS to deliver excellence in Education and Training within Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. The training provided by HILS is accessible to all Health Care Professionals. The majority of simulation courses are aimed at Clinicians including Junior Doctors, Consultants, Nurses and Midwifery staff.
