The HILS Eye Wet Lab was first launched in April 2019 in the loving memory of Mr Stephen Foster who donated money to the Hull Eye Hospital.
The HILS Eye Wet Lab was first launched in April 2019 in the loving memory of Mr Stephen Foster who donated money to the Hull Eye Hospital.
The wet lab was set up by our well renowned retired Ophthalmology Consultant Mr James (Jim) Innes. Mr Innes has a passion for passing on his knowledge and skills through the training of the ophthalmology workforce. Being a simulation enthusiast himself Mr Innes set up a partnership with HILS and secured funding through Bausch and Lomb to establish a state of the art equipped wet lab.
Mr Innes is designing and running courses on behalf of the nation here in Hull, the wet lab offers trauma courses, basic skills courses, bespoke training, one to one sessions and many more.
Through the use of the latest technology and his innovative approach to education Mr Innes is holding sessions and tutorials over the internet.
