Simulation is becoming the forefront of healthcare education, making great contributions to delivering the NHS mission of "High Quality Care for All".
Here at HILS we have been pioneering the development and integration of simulation based education into healthcare both locally and regionally. HILS has played a key role in working with partnering organisations on a national level and have had input into establishing national guidelines on simulation.
Our vision is to maintain our position as a centre of excellence in clinical skills and simulation by ensuring our users educational needs are not only provided for but exceeded with our evidence based approach to using technology enhanced learning methods.
Simulation based education provides a platform for multi-disciplinary teams to learn in a safe and engaging environment to better reinforce clinical excellence, patient safety and safe working practices.
Award winning HILS has been recognised nationally and internationally, through being awarded Gold at the Training Journal Awards 2015, the team were also finalists at the Health Care Awards hosted by the Hull Daily Mail in October 2016.
